Voazok Leads Agri-Institute Indiana Delegation to Cape Coast on Day 3 of 6-Day Tour

Day 3 of the Ghana Agricultural Study & Leadership Tour saw Voazok Limited lead delegates from Agri-Institute Indiana from Accra to the historic Central Region for a blend of agro-processing insight and cultural immersion.

The team’s first major stop was at Ameen Sangari Factory, producers of Sweet Mother Rice. Delegates were taken through the complete rice processing value chain — from cleaning and milling to polishing and packaging. The hands-on walkthrough provided a practical understanding of quality control systems, operational efficiency, and local value addition within Ghana’s rice industry.

To crown the experience, the team was served a freshly cooked sample of Sweet Mother Rice, allowing participants to taste the final product after observing its entire journey from raw grain to finished pack.

Beyond rice production, the factory also showcased its wood treatment operations, where treated timber is prepared for supply to utility institutions including ECG and telecommunications companies. The diversification highlighted how agro-industrial enterprises in Ghana are expanding across multiple sectors to strengthen sustainability and revenue streams.

From agro-industry, the delegation proceeded to the historic Cape Coast Castle, one of Ghana’s most significant heritage landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The visit offered a solemn and powerful reflection on the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade and Ghana’s historical connection to the African diaspora. As the team walked through the ancient corridors, dungeons, and the “Door of No Return,” the experience provided deep cultural and emotional insight into the resilience of the African spirit and the importance of preserving history.

Beyond agriculture and industry, the stop reinforced the leadership dimension of the tour — understanding history, identity, and the global connections that shape present-day partnerships. It was a moment of reflection that added depth and meaning to the ongoing six-day immersion.
