In the lead-up to the Voazok’s Canada–Africa Agribusiness Summit 2026, Voazok convened a high-level Pre-Summit Webinar on March 31, 2026, bringing together leaders from government, agribusiness, research, and policy to chart practical pathways for deeper trade and investment collaboration between Canada and Africa.
Held under the theme “Beyond: Building a Trade-Driven Future,” the virtual session created a dynamic platform for dialogue on how both regions can leverage their strengths to build sustainable, commercially viable agribusiness partnerships. Discussions focused on connecting African SMEs with Canadian agri-food expertise, unlocking export and investment opportunities, fostering enabling policy environments, and encouraging the exchange of innovative technologies and best practices.
Insightful keynote presentations were delivered by Ms. Oluwadara (Dara) Adekunle, Mr. Kevin Fruhstuk, Ms. Elise Legault, and Prof. Alex Ariho, each offering unique perspectives on investment readiness, trade frameworks, regional opportunities, and the role of ecosystems in scaling agribusiness growth across Africa.
A lively panel discussion moderated by Mr. Clyde Graham further deepened the conversation, with panelists addressing key questions on moving beyond pilot initiatives to achieve long-term commercial sustainability, mitigating investment risks, and strengthening institutional support for cross-continental partnerships.
Participants engaged actively, demonstrating strong interest in actionable strategies that can translate dialogue into measurable outcomes at the main Summit. The webinar underscored the importance of aligning private sector ambition, public policy support, and research-driven innovation to unlock the full potential of Canada–Africa agribusiness collaboration.
As momentum builds toward the Summit, this Pre-Summit Webinar has laid a solid foundation for continued engagement, partnership formation, and practical solutions that will shape the future of agribusiness trade between the two regions.
The conversation has begun. The partnerships are forming. The journey continues at the Summit.
